Draft ABP 2018/2019

Draft Annual Business Plan 2018/2019 for Public Consultation

The City of Port Lincoln has released its Draft Annual Business Plan 2018/2019 for public comment from Thursday 19 April to Monday 25 May 2018 to assist in determining the priorities, in particular the proposed new and upgraded capital projects and operational new initiatives for the coming financial year.  

To view the Draft Annual Business Plan CLICK HERE, or you can view a copy at the Council Administration Office located at Level One, Civic Centre, 60 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln or Port Lincoln Library, 2 London Street, Port Lincoln during normal office hours from Thursday 19 April 2018 to 5pm on Friday 25 May 2018. 

Council has identified a number of significant projects for the coming year:

  • Expansion of the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre, funded through a Commonwealth Community Development Grant;
  • Upgrade of Liverpool Street Stormwater Works - Pump Station;
  • Road Reseal works of $550,000 per year, and planned to continue over the next ten year period;
  • Additional Road reseals of $110,000 as a result of Supplementary Roads Grant Funding; and
  • Completion of the Skate Park Upgrade and Renewal works.

The projects, programs and services proposed in the Draft Annual Business Plan are to be funded with an increase in rates revenue as follows:

  • Revenue from the General Rate Revenue is to increase by 4.1%, which is inclusive of the rate in the dollar and fixed charge components. When applied across all rateable properties including new assessments, the total average increase is 4.0% per assessment.
  • Council has in the past increased the fixed charge by a nominal $10 per year and will maintain a $10 increase for 2018/2019.

Submissions can be made via the online survey, or a hardcopy of the survey is available at the Council Administration Office and Port Lincoln Library.

All completed survey entries lodged with Council will be placed in a draw with five lucky winners to earn themselves a $100 gift voucher to spend at the Nautilus Arts Centre.  

If you do not wish to complete the survey (preferred option) you can make a written submission via letter and/or an email to plcc@plcc.sa.gov.au. Submissions to be labelled "Submission - Draft Annual Business Plan 2018/2019.

Opportunity to Ask Questions

Council staff and Elected Members will be available at the National Families Week Event on Sunday 20 May between 11am and 2pm to answer any questions on the Draft Annual Business Plan and other Council services.  Or you can email Council at plcc@plcc.sa.gov.au with subject heading "Questions - Draft Annual Business Plan 2018/2019" or submit your questions in writing to Council.

Public Meeting

Members of the community are invited to attend the Council meeting to be held on Monday 21 May at 7.30pm in the Council Chambers, where there will be an opportunity to make a submission or ask questions in relation to the Draft Annual Business Plan.
